Three booklets and several loose pages of hand written music and some lyrics, plus one page of a printed song from the Pocket Companion. Only one volume is identified as belonging to Esther Russell, who may have lived in Middletown, Connecticut. Many of the tunes bear titles that appear to be locations, for example Exeter, Isle of Wight, Bangor. One separate page is inscribed Noadiah Larned, 1800, of Killingly, Connecticut. The other booklets also have tunes named for locations, including one entitled China. The third booklet has the initials L.M. and C.M. after the titles of many of the songs.
